Role Reversals

 Having to make life care decisions for our parents is one of the hardest things for songs & daughters to do.  Shifting into this role is made easier when pre-planning decisions have been discussed and arranged and a durable power of attorney appointed.  Often, the family needs to hear the words:  “It is not their decision anymore.  When a Loved One can no longer function without assistance or there is evidence of self-neglect due to mental impairment, then we need to step in and make changes for their benefit despite their protesting.
